W.M. Jordan Company provided construction management at risk services for this new six-story academic building. The Center for the Sciences houses the University’s Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Anthropological Sciences, and the Forensic Science Institute. The building features “smart” classrooms, a computer lab, 18 state-of-the-art teaching and research laboratories, collaborative student-faculty spaces, wet labs, and dry labs. There is an AAALAC-accredited vivarium, a 54-seat rooftop planetarium, and a Museum of Earth Sciences. The building incorporates sustainability as a teaching and learning tool. This project achieved USGBC LEED Silver certification.
