Erik has been with W. M. Jordan Company for over 21 years and first started in 2005 as an intern while attending Old Dominion University. Since then, he has served as Project Engineer, Field Engineer, LEED Coordinator, Project Manager and Senior Project Manager for a variety of industrial, education, and healthcare projects.
Since joining us full-time in 2007, Erik has managed construction of projects valued at more than $800 million, much of it for Newport News Shipbuilding, the nation’s sole designer, builder and refueler of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and one of only two companies capable of designing and building nuclear-powered submarines. Erik’s other prominent projects include a $75 million addition and renovation project at Riverside Regional Medical Center and the Virginia Aquarium Expansion project. He holds certifications in Design-Build project delivery, healthcare construction, and OSHA’s 30-hours safety program. He currently serves as the President of the board of directors for the Food Bank of the Virginia Peninsula and is the Vice President of the Design-Build Institute of America, Hampton Roads Chapter. Erik was selected as a Top Young Professional by Engineering News Record, Mid-Atlantic in 2023. Erik is a recent graduate of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber LEAD Higher Advanced Leadership program and is a recently elected board member for Virginia Peninsula Chamber.
In his role as Project Executive, Erik continues to oversee all work with Newport News Shipbuilding at both the VA and SC locations along with other projects in the Hampton Roads region.
