1958
W. M. Jordan Company opens current headquarters in Newport News, Virginia.
1970
Construction completed on Newport News City Hall, W. M. Jordan’s largest project to date and paving the way for future high-rise projects.
1985
John Lawson takes over as President and CEO.
1985
Work begins with Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News Shipyard, W. M. Jordan's longest standing client.
1990
Work with Children’s Hospital of The Kings Daughters (CHKD) begins with the start of construction on CHKD's main hospital.
The first annual WMJ Charity Golf Tournament, benefitting the CHKD Foundation is held.
1994
W. M. Jordan buys Bass Construction and expands to Richmond, Virginia.
1995
W. M. Jordan Internship Program Begins.
2008
Construction Completed on VCUHS Critical Care Hospital in Downtown Richmond, Virginia.
2010
W. M. Jordan Company begins expansion to North Carolina with the start of Construction on Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in Camp Lejeune, NC.
2011
W. M. Jordan Company is ranked 101 in the Engineering News-Record Top 400 General Contractors Nationwide, our highest ENR Top 400 ranking.
2012
W. M. Jordan Company opens office in Wilmington, North Carolina.
2013
W. M. Jordan Real Estate Development is established with the groundbreaking of Tech Center led by Executive Chairman, John Lawson and Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development, Skip Smith.
2014
W. M. Jordan first partners with Sherman Construction to begin construction on the Virginia Tech Indoor Athletic Facility in Blacksburg, Virginia.
2016
W. M. Jordan Company ranks #15 in Engineering News-Record MidAtlantic's Top Contractors.
2018
W. M. Jordan executive leadership transition occurs with John Lawson becoming the Executive Chairman and Ron Lauster becoming President in addition to other executive leadership appointments.

W. M. Jordan Company acquires Sherman Construction and opens Greenville, South Carolina office.
