Construction completed on Newport News City Hall, W. M. Jordan’s largest project to date and paving the way for future high-rise projects.

John Lawson takes over as President and CEO.

Work begins with Huntington Ingalls Industries Newport News Shipyard, W. M. Jordan's longest standing client.

Work with Children’s Hospital of The Kings Daughters (CHKD) begins with the start of construction on CHKD's main hospital.

The first annual WMJ Charity Golf Tournament, benefitting the CHKD Foundation is held.

W. M. Jordan buys Bass Construction and expands to Richmond, Virginia.

Construction Completed on VCUHS Critical Care Hospital in Downtown Richmond, Virginia.

W. M. Jordan Company begins expansion to North Carolina with the start of Construction on Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital in Camp Lejeune, NC.

W. M. Jordan Real Estate Development is established with the groundbreaking of Tech Center led by Executive Chairman, John Lawson and Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development, Skip Smith.

W. M. Jordan first partners with Sherman Construction to begin construction on the Virginia Tech Indoor Athletic Facility in Blacksburg, Virginia.
