Christopher Newport University’s Pope Chapel offers students of all faiths a serene, inspiring place to nurture their hearts and minds. The 10,000 square foot, single-story, non-denominational worship hall features meeting spaces allowing students to enjoy religious activities, musical performances, lectures and other events. The Chapel features a marble grand entrance way with a 60-foot cupola, coffered ceilings in the celebration hall, a Brazilian cherry wood stage, wainscot paneling and crown molding throughout. Its location at the entrance to campus adjacent to the Trible Library symbolizes the value CNU places on both morals and knowledge.

This project was given an Overall Excellence in Construction Award in 2014 and an Honor Award of Excellence Award in 2014 for Educational-Public & Private Schools under $10 million dollars from the Virginia Associated Builders & Contractors Excellence in Construction Awards.
