Covenant Woods

Covenant Woods, a Life Plan Community, is located on a 75-acre campus in Hanover County, Virginia. W.M. Jordan provided construction management services to add Independent Living to the community’s home inventory.

A new three-story apartment building offers 84 apartments above a private parking garage, along with 22 new single-family cottages. A 30,000 square foot community center with dining spaces, lounge, cultural arts center and a fitness and aquatics center add to the amenities.

Preconstruction services such as constructability reviews and value engineering helped control construction costs. The project team phased and sequenced construction to minimize impact to existing residents. W.M. Jordan Company worked closely with Covenant Woods’ marketing department to assist with the resident options selection process.

Covenant Woods awarded W.M. Jordan Company a second contract to provide similar services for renovations to their healthcare and skilled nursing care facility. Currently under construction, this newest project adds 61,991 square feet with 23 new skilled nursing beds, and converts 10 semi-private to private rooms for a total of 33 private skilled nursing beds. New assisted living beds with memory care are located in the renovated health care building.
