OVERVIEW

W. M. Jordan Company and Ferguson Enterprises have been working together for over 25 years. Since our relationship’s inception, W. M. Jordan has provided construction services on 11 projects for Ferguson Enterprises.

In 1994, we broke ground on their original Corporate Headquarters project. Since then, we have renovated that same building, built a second 150,000 square foot HQ2, provided construction services on various showrooms, and have now provided Construction Management at Risk services for the new 8-story, 275,085 square foot HQ3 Building.

The project, located in the City Center at Newport News includes new state of the art training centers, collaboration areas, a central café and outdoor dining for associates, large break areas on each floor, and a roof top patio with outdoor kitchen for work events and networking.

As a corporate headquarters, HQ3 exists to be transformational—not just in design but in company culture and workflow—a fresh paradigm of “we” versus “me.” From a schematic standpoint, the building’s open concept presents a highly functional and multi-faceted combination of sleek person workspaces, generous meeting rooms and shared, adaptable break out spaces on each floor to foster collaboration. The design of HQ3 is driven by the client’s goals to break down barriers, encourage collaboration, and foster community engagement.

This project received an HRACRE Award of Excellence in the Best Commercial/Office Building category.
