HRSD Operations Center

W.M. Jordan Company provided Design-Build services to Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) for a new Operations Center at their Virginia Beach campus. The building provides office and support space for HRSD’s five organizational divisions: Operations, Engineering, Water Quality, Finance, Information Services, and the General Manager’s Office. The facility includes a mission-critical 5,000 square foot data center designed to meet Tier III capability as designated by the Uptime Institute, which means the center remains fully operational 99.98% of the time. This building achieved USGBC LEED® Silver certification for sustainable design and construction.

This project received a 2016 Award of Merit for excellence in design-build delivery from the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Design Build Institute of America.
