W. M. Jordan Company is supporting Norfolk International Airport’s long‑term modernization efforts through two major improvements to its terminal facilities: the Concourse A Expansion and the construction of a new Federal Inspection Services (FIS) Building for international arrivals.
This project extends the existing Concourse A by 13,178 square feet on the second level, creating additional capacity and improving the passenger experience. The expansion includes:
Construction was carefully phased to maintain full airport operations, requiring close coordination with airport staff, airlines, and security teams to ensure uninterrupted travel throughout the project.
The new FIS Building replaces the airport’s existing international arrivals facility, providing a modern, efficient entry point for international travelers. The project renovates an existing arrival gate to create a secure pathway into a new Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry area.
