W. M. Jordan Company provided Construction Management at Risk services to St. Olaf Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Virginia for a new worship center.
The 17,422-square foot project consisted of selective demolition and expansion of the existing church structure to include a new sanctuary with 750 seats and associated spaces. The existing church remained under full operation during the expansion. Temporary walls were erected, and the site was kept clean at all times as services occurred several days of the week, in addition to the weekends. Unique features include an in-ground baptistery pool with fountain, acoustical wall paneling, and LED lighting. Additional seating is provided in the commons outside the grand entrance and in the daily mass chapel with views at all angles.
