W. M. Jordan Company provided Construction Management at Risk services for the reconstruction of Templin Hall at Virginia Peninsula Community College, delivering a modern, high‑performance performance venue that replaces a previous facility lost to structural failure and partial collapse. The new 50,000‑square‑foot building restores a vital campus asset while elevating the College’s capabilities in theater, music, and live production.
Designed to mirror the size and footprint of the original structure, the new Templin Hall incorporates state‑of‑the‑art theatrical systems, advanced audiovisual technology, and upgraded interior finishes throughout, including new seating, flooring, wood paneling, and acoustical treatments. These enhancements create a professional‑grade environment for both performers and audiences.
Key features of the theater include a new counterweight fly system capable of supporting larger and more complex set pieces, an expanded wing space to improve performer flow, a wider stage, and a fully updated sound system. The facility also introduces a new box office, concession stand, and an inviting lobby, enhancing the overall patron experience.
With our clients, partners, and community, W. M. Jordan strives for the relentless pursuit of excellence.
