Senior Vice President, Real Estate Development

In 2014 Skip officially took the helm of W.M. Jordan Real Estate Development and turned it into a multi-million dollar, wholly-owned subsidiary of W. M. Jordan Company. On behalf of owners and third parties, he provides full-service, for-fee development with current development projects totaling over $250 million. Skip and his team actively manage an asset portfolio of approximately 1 million SF of commercial real estate with an estimated value at $111 million with nearly 93% occupancy rate.

Skip leads a knowledgeable and efficient team to facilitate and lead diverse projects that include large scale industrial and mixed-use developments such as Blacksburg First and Main and Mariners Row Apartments. He is closely involved in the strategic planning, design, and direction of real estate projects that benefit our region, such as Tech Center in Newport News and Harbor Commerce Center Warehouse.

Skip’s career started with W. M. Jordan in 1986. Prior to his current role, Skip served in many capacities within the company; including Project Superintendent, Business Development, and Project Executive.

Skip’s experience and knowledge provide him with a deep understanding of the customer’s needs, promoting successful outcomes based on their goals. He has worked to ensure his team performs projects on time, controls budget cost, creates maximum investment value for clients, manages relationships with municipalities, and builds a strong network of partners.

Skip gives back to the community through active participation on the boards of the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation. He is past president of the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate, past chairman of DePaul Health Foundation, and past chairman of the Mary Immaculate Foundation.
