An excellent leader and mentor, Brooks focuses on developing effective project management teams for every project and works to help staff develop and grow.
Customers, architects, subcontractors and staff trust and respect his deep knowledge, developed over 34 years in the construction industry. His straightforward approach to project planning and team building has led to successful outcomes on complex projects as the Virginia Commonwealth University’s
Critical Care Hospital, the
Science Museum of Virginia Renovations, and two research education buildings for the University of Virginia.
Brooks holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction from Virginia Tech and is a member of the board of directors for the
Myers-Lawson School of Construction at Virginia Tech. He is a long standing member of both the
American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and the
Virginia Society of Healthcare Engineers (VSHE) and is a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC). Additionally, he is the chair of the board of directors of the
ACE Mentor Program of Richmond, VA an affiliate of ACE Mentor Program of America. He actively supports
CARITAS and the
Science Museum of Virginia.
